Our Chaplaincy Team

Our Chaplaincy is rooted in the tradition and Ignatian spirituality of the FCJ Sisters and our school community continues the work started by Marie Madeleine. The FCJ Values of Excellence, Justice, Dignity, Hope, Companionship and Gentleness are at the heart of all we do.

At FCJ Primary school we have a Chaplaincy Team who create opportunities for everyone in the school community to encounter Jesus in their daily life. This team work together to ensure the FCJ charism and values are embedded within the school culture and continue to be at the heart of the school, lived out by each member of the school community.

The FCJ Primary School Chaplaincy team work alongside the other FCJ schools in the United Kingdom. As a group they are exploring the following key themes:

  1. Social Justice work, Care of Creation and the environment.
  2. Service in outreach to local community
  3. Global link with an FCJ mission (e.g. Philippines, The FCJ Learning Centre).
  4. Nurturing young people’s spirituality and faith after school. This includes looking at opportunities available for our older pupils.
  5. Liturgical development. This includes formation for catechists, music ministry, Eucharistic ministers and Readers.
  6. Staff Retreats.
