Father Ambrose joined FCJ as our school priest in September 2024. Fr Ambrose regularly visits the school to celebrate school masses, and support with the teaching of RE. He also spends time with our staff and supports Marta in parent prayer sessions. The children were very excited to welcome Fr Ambrose to their classes, and have described him as a ‘very cool’ priest! Fr Ambrose has already made meaningful connections with both the children and staff and it is such a pleasure to welcome him to the FCJ Community.

Marta’s faith was nurtured during the happy years that she attended FCJ Secondary School as a student. Her two sons attended FCJ Primary School. Marta worked as a qualified social worker in the field of childcare for 23 years, both in the UK and in Jersey. She subsequently worked at Beaulieu Convent School as their Lay School Chaplain for 14 years. Marta is a FCJ Foundation Governor with responsibility for Religious Education and Ethos. Marta feels the circle is now complete in that she has returned to her educational roots, and is delighted to be able to give back to the FCJ community.
